MORE ABOUT
OUR PROCESS
-
Meet with Jeremy to discuss and review your plans for your renovation
-
A measure will be followed by the initial meeting to confirm materials required
-
Based off of our initial meeting and measure, we will provide you with a detailed Estimate
-
When we have agreed upon a reasonable budget, we begin the design process
-
Once all layouts and finish material selections are approved, we determine a start date and provide our clients with a job schedule
-
Note that various material orders can take up to 8 weeks to arrive in some cases so the design process is aimed to be accommodating to your personal schedule
-
For Kitchen Renovations: begin to organize a mock kitchen with access to a fridge, stove or BBQ, microwave, coffee pot, kettle, toaster, preferably near a sink, fill propane bottles for BBQ, paper plates and cups, and plastic cutlery if necessary.
-
For bathroom renovation in a single bathroom house, we provide our clients with the option to rent a heated portable bathroom with a shower and 2 toilets (one for your family and one for the trades workers) for a portion of the renovation.
-
Remove all personal items from the renovation site and determine if there are any materials you would like to keep or sell.
-
Depending on the extent of your renovation, prepare for approximately 4-8 weeks for a completed kitchen and 2-6 weeks for a bathroom renovation
-
Tear out begins: removal of old cabinets, countertops, appliances, tile, electrical, lighting, plumbing, drywall, and flooring.
-
Rough ins begin: Certified HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical technicians will come into your home and prepare the necessary applications to complete your renovation as per the Design.
-
Approved insulation and vapor barriers will be installed prior to covering up any walls to maintain the integrity of your home
-
At this time the installers will start rolling in! Cabinets, tile, flooring, trim work, appliances, and fixtures are installed and followed up by one of our awesome painters.
-
Countertops are templated. Generally granite and quartz installation is 2-3 weeks from this point. Some yards have a quicker turn around depending on how busy the industry is at that time
-
In the mean time our installers will return to finish off any deficiencies, drawer adjustments, and final touch ups followed by a full clean up and removal of any left behind debris
-
Finally, a Southpaw Interiors employee returns to the home with gifts and takes professional after pictures to celebrates another job well done!
